William Thomas (Fuzzy) Anysz, age 55, died at his residence, 122 East 2nd Street, Waterford, PA on Friday, April 18, 2008 following a short illness. Born on November 17, 1952 in Erie, PA, he was a son of the late Alois Anysz and Ruth Kuhn Anysz. On December 24, 1992 he married the former Patti Powell and she survives. Following graduation from Ere Tech Memorial High School, in 1970, he began employment with Zurn Industries, Inc. in Erie and continued to work there as a mold pattern maker until his retirement on January 1st of this year.
Fuzzy was actively involved with Waterford Little League doing the scheduling of games for over 15 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #285 as the son of a Legion member. His interest included playing golf and he was an avid NASCAR race fan and a Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan. He was a fun loving person and enjoyed spending time with his many friends.
Surviving family members of Fuzzy include his wife, Patti, of 15 years; two sons – Bill T. Anysz and Scott Anysz, both of Erie; a daughter – Gina Miller and her husband, James of Waterford and their two children – Dylan and Jamie; two brothers – Bernie Anysz of Erie and Jerry Anysz and his wife, Denise of Waterford; and five nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was a 5 month old daughter – Laura; and two brothers – Daniel Anysz and Charlie Anysz.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Waterford on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 and are invited to attend funeral services there on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Edward Huntley, pastor of the Federated Church in East Springfield will officiate. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Erie.
