Kathy Lee Stafford, age 49, of Waterford, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at her home after a long illness. Born in Meadville on February 15, 1959, she was a daughter of Frances Watson Humes of Cambridge Springs and the late Robert Humes.
Kathy was a homemaker and had worked for different employers over the years including Troyer Farms and Edinboro Manor. She enjoyed making crafts and was the kind of person that would do anything for anybody. Most of all, the two things that were dearest to her were her family and her faith. She loved her family very much and will always be remembered as being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She was a member of Draketown Christian Church and loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart. It was her faith in her Lord and the love of her family that sustained her through her illness.
Survivors in her family include her husband of 29 years, Robert R. Stafford; two children, Todd R. Stafford and his wife Abigail of Cranesville, and Tonya L. Schrecengost and her husband Melvin of Erie; 3 grandchildren, Marcus, Edith, and Emma; 10 brothers and sisters, Gary Watson and wife Linda of Youngstown, OH, Patrick Glenn of Cambridge Springs, Steven Humes of Meadville, Robert Humes Jr. of Cambridge Springs, Gary Humes of Meadville, Larry Humes of Venango, Janet Humes and husband Charles of Cambridge Springs, Linda Stafford and husband Jim of Waterford, Judy Mitchell and husband John of Alabama, and Karen Weiland and husband Dave of Erie.
Friends may call at the Draketown Christian Church, 12460 Draketown Road, Edinboro on Thursday evening from 7-9pm and on Friday from 1:00pm until the funeral service at 2:00pm. Rev. Ron Kennedy, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Draketown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Draketown Christian Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Van Matre Funeral Home of Waterford.
