Orpha “Teri” Teribery Simmons Humke, age 69, died Monday, August 4, 2008 at Golden Living Center, Cambridge Springs, PA. She had made her home with a daughter, Theresa Taylor at 123 Dale Avenue in Cambridge Springs since January of this year and formerly was a resident of Girard. Born on August 2, 1939 in Centerville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Walter Faye Teribery and Helen Rosevelt Hart Teribery.
A home maker, “Teri” enjoyed crafts, woodworking, ceramics, and artistic painting.
Preceding in death in addition to her parents, was a son – Robert Simmons; a grandson – Vincent Mitchell; four brothers – Roger Teribery, Frank Teribery, Frederick Teribery, and Kenneth Teribery; and two sisters – Dora Rank and Eileen McKelvy. Surviving family members include two daughters – Theresa Taylor of Cambridge Springs and Karen Warner of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren – Jeff Richards of Hamilton, IL, Amanda Pritchard of Erie, and Robert Taylor of Cambridge Springs; two great grandchildren; three brothers – George Teribery, Robert Teribery, and Raymond Teribery all of Erie; and two sisters – Marge Curtiss of NC and Pansy Archer of Titusville. There will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will take place in Cambridge Cemetery on Thursday, August 14th at 6:00 p.m. with Mr. Buzz Wykoff, friend of the family, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs.
