Mark A. “Ratchet” Zimmerman, Jr., age 36, of Cambridge Springs, PA died at his home unexpectedly of natural causes on Sunday, November 16, 2008. Born in Erie, PA on June 8, 1972, he is the son of Mark A. and Judy Zalewski Zimmerman, Sr. of Erie. On August 28, 2004 he married the former Rene Michalek and she survives.
Mark was head mechanic at Coca Cola of Erie. His family was important to him and he cherished spending time with his wife Rene, his daughter Nicole and his many friends. He especially enjoyed riding his 1993 Heritage.
In addition to his parents of Erie and his wife Rene and daughter Nicole, both of Cambridge Springs, Mark is survived by two sisters – Michelle Zimmerman of Erie and Carrie Wilson and her husband, Mark of Owings Mills, MD; a niece – Sophia Wilson; a nephew – Henry Wilson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and sister-in-laws.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Cambridge Springs Thursday morning at 10:00 with Monsignor Larry Speice, pastor of the Church as celebrant.
