Michelle R. Davis-Walker, age 51, of 127 West Third Street, Waterford, died unexpectedly at Saint Vincent Health Center on Friday, April 24, 2009. Born in Erie on August 27, 1957, she is the daughter of Paul A. Davis of Fairview and the late Janice Gimler Davis.
Michelle lived a full life in which she loved her family and was active in her community and church. She attended the First Presbyterian Church of Waterford and was a member of the Stancliff Hose Company Auxiliary, the American Legion Post 285 Auxiliary, the Waterford Historical Society, TOPS, and the Red Hat Society. She had many interests, but primarily she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and writing. She was privileged to have some of her writings published.
Her family members include her husband and companion, Walter J. Walker; her father and step-mother, Paul and Joan Davis; and six brothers and sisters, Robert S. Volkman, Allan Volkman, Dana A. Volkman and wife Kim, Sheryl Pennock and husband Robert, Stacy Davis and Ted Davis.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the First Presbyterian Church of Waterford on Wednesday at 3:00pm. Officiating will be Rev. Emily J. Zeig, pastor of the church. There will be no calling hours.
Aunt Michelle, you will be missed. Thank you so much for blessing our lives and Uncle Walt with your beautiful and creative spirit. I’m so glad that I got to see you at Christmas! May you rest in peace. Always. Love, Marie
