Donald James Wetsell, age 56, died unexpectedly of natural causes at his residence, 10 Dillon Drive, Edinboro, PA on Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Born in Erie, PA on August 16, 1952 he was a son of the late John Henry Wetsell and Eleanor Mory Wetsell. Having graduated from General McLane High School in Edinboro in 1971, Donald chose to become a machinest for his life’s work and was employed at Autoclave Engineers in Erie followed by Riley Stoker in Erie, and retiring from Erie Press in Erie last year because of failing health. Donald attended the Missionary Alliance Church in Edinboro and enjoyed hunting and vegetable gardening.

Wetsell of Erie; a sister – Jean Kilbane and her husband, Francis of Edinboro; and four brothers – John Wetsell and his wife, Kay of Edinboro; Charles Wetsell and his wife, Pauline of Edinboro; Everett Wetsell and his wife, Kathy of Fairview; and Ray Wetsell and his wife, Vicky of Venango, PA.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Edinboro on Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Friends may then attend a funeral service there beginning at 8:30 p.m. Reverend Dr. Jim Rimmer, pastor of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Edinboro will officiate. The interment will take place the next morning at Edinboro Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Edinboro Ambulance Service, 125 Erie Street, Edinboro, PA 16412.
