Lucille Eleanor Stafford, age 77, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Golden Living Center in Cambridge Springs where she had resided for the past year. Living most of her life in Cambridge Springs, she was born in Berkley Springs, WV on February 12, 1932 to the late Benjamin Harrison Howell and Amy Hall Howell. On November 28, 2005 she married Edwin George Stafford and he survives.
Stafford, Lucille EleanorPrimarily a home maker, Lucille worked short periods of time as a private house keeper. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and domestic animals. However, the joy of her life was spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Edwin, Lucille is survived by three children – Dora Stancliff and her friend, Randy of Cambridge Springs; Ward Peck and his wife, Donna of Cambridge Springs; and Larry Peck and his wife, Shannon of Cambridge Springs; a step-daughter – Patina Warinner and her husband, John of Columbus, OH; eight grandchildren – Tiffany Stancliff; Bryan Stancliff; Jacob Leonhart; Dorothy White; Jennifer Dempsey; Samantha Peck; Codi Peck; and Alyssa Peck; two step grandchildren – Sydney Warinner and Jake Warinner; several great grandchildren; and many brothers and sisters.
At this time no visitation or funeral is planned. Cremation will take place. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs. Memorials may be given to – Hospice of Crawford County, 448 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
