Angela Marie Hobbs, age 31, resident of 4500 Old Sate Road, McKean, PA died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at UPMC Medical facility in Pittsburgh following a two day illness. She had lived in the Meadville or Edinboro area most of her life. Born in Erie, PA on July 1, 1978, she was a daughter of H. Leroy Stearns and Kim Hays Stearns. She married Michael Hobbs on June 4, 2005 and he remains to mourn her loss.
Angela graduated from Foundation Christian School in Meadville in 1996 having taken several courses in electrical occupation at Crawford County Vo-Tech School. Following graduation she was employed at Al’s Melons at the Market House for a brief time, Kings Jewelry for a brief time, and as a business secretary for Beneficial Finance for 5 years until 2005, all businesses located in Meadville. Ten years ago she established a photography studio known as Angel Touch Photography located in Edinboro and most recently she, together with her husband, established a hobby shop in Edinboro known as Busted Knuckle Hobbies. A very industrious person, Angela had also been an instructor in photography at Erie Institute of Technology for a short time.
Angela’s church, the Bible Baptist Church of Meadville, was very important to her and she was very active there. Included in her activities was being a youth Sunday School teacher, caring for the very young in the Church nursery, the puppet ministry, a director for the prayer sisters group, leadership in the Wednesday evening teen group, and operating the audio monitors for Sunday morning worship services.
Angela can be best described as a person with a very joyful outlook of life. She was a very caring and self-less person, kind and generous. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
In addition to her husband – Michael, Angela leaves behind her father – H. Leroy Stearns of Meadville and her mother – Kim Hayes Stearns of Meadville; a brother – Joshua Stearns and his wife, Heather of Meadville; a special uncle – John Fulmer of Meadville; her husband’s mother – Deborah Bull of Edinboro; her husband’s grandparents – James F. and Joyce M. Hobbs of Edinboro; two nieces – Kayla Stearns and Morgan Stearns and a nephew – Cameron Stearns all of Meadville; and two special cousins – Brandi Hobbs and Katelyn Hobbs both of Edinboro. Also left behind is Angela’s pet dog – Indiana with whom she had strong attachment.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. Further visiting hours will be at the Bible Baptist Church located at 11166 Livermore Road in Meadville on Saturday from noon until 2:00 p.m. at which time funeral services will be held. The pastor of the Church, Reverend Phillip Thomas, will officiate. Memorials may be made to the church. Burial will follow.

Angela you will forever remain in my heart and I will forever love and miss you. You have touched my life. We will forever be sisters and best friends. You are now with the Lord as his angel to watch over me. There will not be a day that goes by that I won’t think of you, But one day we will see each other again in heaven.
