Gerald Albert Marzka, age 94, died September 10, 2009 in Port Huron, MI. He was born in the Cambridge Springs area on December 24, 1914 and moved to Michigan as a youth. He worked as a master welder for over 40 years and moved back to Pennsylvania in 1975 and lived here until returning to Michigan in 2003.
Gerald married Nancy Bruner in 1936 and she passed away in 2001. Fishing, hunting, the Detroit Tigers and the Pittsburgh Steelers were his passions.
Survivors include his brother Donald; his sons, Kenneth (Nannetta), Charles, and Edward (Gela); 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Velma Dyne Marzka, brothers George and Lawrence, sister Lenora, son Daniel, grandson Michael, and great-grandson Kenneth.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service officiated by Rev. Robert A. Willert of the Mill Village Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 11:00am at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home of Cambridge Springs. Interment will be in Mill Village Cemetery.
