Sandra Sue Peterson, age 69, resident of 26466 Zilhaver Road, Cambridge Springs, PA died at her home on Thursday, October 8, 2009. She had been in declining health for the past several years. Born on March 15, 1940 in Titusville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Cal J. Warner and Thelma Kerr Warner and had lived in the Cambridge Springs area most of her life. On September 5, 1964 she married Dick Eugene Peterson and he survives.
Peterson, Sandra SueSue, which is the name people used, was a home maker and had great concern for her family. She enjoyed collecting stuffed animals and had a large collection of hoot owls. She was a reader of the Bible and favored old gospel music. Her dog, Rosie, was always by her side and she liked to observe the birds.
Sue was preceded in death by two brothers – Dewey Warner and Jack Warner. Family members surviving her in addition to her husband of 45 years include a daughter – Charity Sue Peterson living at home; two sons – Richard Craig Peterson of Cambridge Springs and Mark Eugene Peterson living at home; a sister – Grace Warner and her husband – Russ of Union City; three brothers – Don Warner and his wife, Verna; Ken Warner and his wife, Wilma, and Phil Warner and his wife, Karen all of Pleasantville, PA; one brother-in-law – James Lee Peterson and his wife, Elma of Corry; and a sister-in-law – Barbara Harroun and her husband, Roger of Clymer, NY.
Friends may call at the First Baptist Church, 339 South Main Street, Cambridge Springs on Saturday from 1:00 until 3:00 at which time a funeral service will begin. Reverend Rod Beardsley, pastor of the Church, will officiate. Interment will take place in Mitchell Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family, 26466 Zilhaver Road, Cambridge Springs, PA 16403.
