Sandra K. Lee Finck, age 67, a lifelong resident of the Mill Village area, died at her home on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Union City on July 23, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Emil P. and Melva Platt Lee. She married Edward H. Finck on May 23, 1967 and he survives.
Sandy graduated from Fort LeBoeuf High School in 1960. For the next several years she worked at Snap-Tite, and then later at Elgin Electronics where she was employed at both the Waterford and Erie locations for many years. Sandy loved life and had many interests including genealogy research, dancing, crossword puzzles, camping, and vacationing in Florida. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be sadly missed.
Her family members include her husband, Edward H. Finck; her daughter, Lori L. Peters and her husband Dan of Edinboro; her son, Edward R. Finck and his wife Vikki of Erie; two grandchildren, Emily and Colton Peters; her aunt Charlotte Coe of Edinboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Van Matre Funeral Home of Waterford on Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held there on Saturday at 2:00pm officiated by Pastor Betty Hollabaugh of the Mill Village United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Mill Village Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
