Dear Marilyn and Dorothy,
Marilyn, I do not remember meeting you but I do remember some talk over the years at family reunions about you and on a drive one day with Uncle Clifford Patterson.
Dorothy, I do remember you and your late husband quite well from the Shaffer Family Reunion. I know you have not been there for several years and we miss you and all of the family.
Of course, I remember your mother and father quite well and know much about the Kightlinger family as Howard Strawbridge used to mention them from time to time. I know that some of those Kightlinger’s married into the Proper branch of the family.
Your mother was always such a pleasant woman. You certainly have my sympathy. I know you will miss her. I believe she was the last surviving member of that generation in the Shaffer Family.
I should try to call you sometime. I should get updates on your families. The Shaffer Reunion is still held the 2nd Sunday of August at Ida Shaffer’s place on Old Route 8, just out of Titusville.
Cousin Eddie Patterson, Full Cousin of Ivan Shaffer, twice removed.
Marilyn and Dorothy and families,
Aunt Lois was a sweet lady and reminded me of my Grandmother, Letha McFadden. I am so glad that I was able to visit with her last year! I know losing a mother, no matter the age, it a difficult time. I’m sure you have LOTS of good memories.
Love, Pat
Terri and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I want to let you know I am thinking of you.
Penny
Marilyn and Jack and Dorothy,
We are so very sorry for your loss. Rest in peace, Aunt Lois.
Love,
Carole, Mike and Jill
