Jeffrey Dale Deitrick, age 65, resident of Millersville, PA died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, PA following a two day illness. Born on January 26, 1945 in Erie, PA, Jeffrey was a son of the late Franklin W. Deitrick and Veronica Sevanick Cotton and was never married.
Deitrick, Jeffrey DaleJeffrey was a veteran of the Viet Nam War serving with the US Army. Upon being honorably discharged in 1970, he returned to Meadville and worked for a brief time before becoming employed by Channelock in Meadville. He worked there for 24 years until 1994 and then worked for brief periods of time at other places of residence before making his home in Millersville, PA in 2000. He enjoyed collecting old movies.
Family surviving Jeffrey include four sisters – Wini Worley of Saegertown; Kay Cobb and her husband, Hugh of Alexandria, VA; Gail Patterson and her husband, Roger of Erie; and Barb Larson and her husband, Bill of Shieffield, PA; a brother – Tim Barber and his wife, Vi of Meadville. Also surviving are two nieces – Debbie Worley and her three children – Kaneez, Sean, and Sara; and Donna Worley all of Saegertown. Preceding Jeffrey in death was a brother – Jerry Onufer; two nephews – Paul Worley and Dan Mona; a great nephew – Daniel Worley and a brother-in-law – Howard Worley.
Friends are invited to attend a graveside funeral and committal at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Meadville on Friday morning at 11:00. The Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the
