Nathaniel James Lemock?- “Than” – “Nate”, age 21, born October 6, 1988, a gift from God. Beloved grandson, son, brother, nephew and uncle.
Nathaniel entered eternity on Sunday, April 25, 2010. Though it seems to be such an untimely death, our plans are not providential. Nathaniel has left a legacy of living a Christ-filled life and loving all whom he encountered. Nathaniel was a blessed young man, slow to anger and abounding in love.
Nathaniel graduated from NW PA Collegiate Academy and was currently a junior in the Plastics Engineering Program at Penn State Behrend College. He was entering into the Petroleum Engineering Program in the fall.
His aspirations knew no limits. He filled his life with his precious family, to whom he was completely devoted. He loved his car, enjoying nature activities, weight lifting, vacationing, mountain climbing and of course, eating. His passion was Chi Alpha Ministries, serving his community and those in need. Nathaniel has lived a full life in his 21 years–no regrets. We will miss him tremendously.
As an infant, his parents physically lifted Nathaniel up to Lord and dedicated him to God’s divine and perfect will, promising to raise Nathaniel for God, Nathaniel’s Heavenly Father. I Samuel 1:27-28 says, “I?prayed for this child and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord.”?God has blessed us with a wonderful man of God for this short time and now he continues to live in heaven with our Heavenly Father.
Nathaniel is preceded in death by an infant brother, Jeremy Lemock, and his paternal grandmother, Alice Lemock. Nathaniel is survived by his parents, Ken and Julie Hermann Lemock; his siblings, Jessica Crossley and her husband Scott, Aly Harris and her husband Pat, Bri Lemock and Gabe Lemock; also, his nephew Elijah Crossley. Nathaniel is further survived by his paternal grandfather, Ed Lemock, his maternal grandparents, George and Cynthia Hermann, and many loving uncles, aunts and cousins.
Visiting hours will begin on Friday at the Van Matre Funeral Home, 105 Walnut Street, Waterford from 2-5 and 7-9pm, and will continue on Saturday morning at Erie First Assembly of God, 8150 Oliver Road at 10:00am. The funeral service will begin at 11:30am and will be officiated by Pastor Joel Schrieber of Erie First and Pastor Andy Kerr of McLane Church in Edinboro and Erie. Interment will be in Waterford Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, monetary gifts can be sent to the Nathaniel Lemock Memorial Fund established at Marquette Savings Bank, 920 Peach Street, Erie, PA 16501. Gifts will be used to further Nathaniel’s ministry passion at Behrend College.
Ken & Julie:
Pastor Brawner once toild us during our fight with cancer with Anthony that the best thing a parent can do for their child is to ensure that they are prepared to enter the Kingdom of God. You have fulfilled your duty & Nathan is now praising & worshiping Jesus with all the Angels. We remember those days when you & your family skied at the Peak. You are all about family and that’s what Nate loved. You are in our prayers and will continue to be for a long time. We love you,
Tony & Gina

To My Family:
I had recently recconected with Than on Facebook and was so excited to see how well he was doing and how grown up he was. You all did the most amazing job raising my young little cousin and he was truley greatful for all of you. He was chosen for a more important role in God’s plan and has moved on to a much better place. He was loved by all and will be missed by many.
With Love,
Yvette
