Mary Ann Nosko Harmon, age 89, resident of Cambridge Springs, PA died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the Cambridge Springs Nursing and Rehab Center. She had been a resident there for the past four years. Born on August 14, 1920 in Coral, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late John Nosko and Mary Geletka Nosko.
Mary was employed by Gaines Construction Company in Miami, FL as office manager and secretary from 1944 until 1961. From 1961 until her retirement in 1978 she likewise was employed as office manager and secretary for the John D. MacArthur Land Company in Miami. Mary was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Cambridge Springs.
Surviving Mary include two sisters – Rose Rice of Union City and Pauline Wontenay of Hawaii; a brother – Robert Nosko and his wife, Shirley of Mill Village with whom Mary was closely associated. She was preceded in death by three brothers – Fred Nosko, Ed Nosko, and Joseph Nosko; and two sisters – Justine Coon and Betty Webster.
In accordance with Mary’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Graveside services will be conducted at Millers Station Cemetery on Thursday morning at 11:00. Monsignor Lawrence Speice, pastor of St. Anthony’s Church in Cambridge Springs, will officiate.
