Richard “Rich” Craig Peterson, age 44, longtime resident of Cambridge Springs, PA died Friday, May 21, 2010 at the home of his friends – Edwin Johnson and his companion, Joyce Harvey, 242 Church Street, Cambridge Springs where he had been living the past month and a half. Born in Meadville, PA on May 6, 1966, he was the son of Richard Peterson and the late Sandra Warner Peterson.
Following his education at Cambridge Springs High School he began his life’s work as a roofer, a landscaper, and as a construction worker. He was employed by Haysite Plastics in Erie for several years before being injured in 2007. Rich enjoyed motorcycling, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Kingsmen Motor Cycle Club of Saegertown.
In addition to his father, Rich is survived by a sister – Charity Peterson and a brother – Mark Peterson, both living at home; a daughter- Crissie and her son, Bryce both living in the West; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Rich was preceded in death in addition to his mother, by a daughter, Susie.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Monday from 1- 3. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 3:00 with Reverend Rod Beardsley, pastor of Cambridge Springs First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
