Judy Susanne Pursell, age 62, long time resident of Erie, PA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at her home. Born on July 30, 1948 along with her twin brother – Ronald Albert, Judy was a daughter of the late Kenneth Albert Fullerton and Mary Ruth Fitzsimmons Fullerton. She retired from Action Resale in Erie just days go on July 30th. She worked there in sales and as a notary. Many people remember her also working at Sue’s Notary in Erie.

Fullerton, Judy SusanneShe was well known as a very avid NASCAR fan and in particular was a fan of Dale Earnhardt from the beginning of his racing career. After his untimely death, she continued to be a solid fan of his son, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Judy was very proud of her Z28 Camero and enjoyed driving her “baby” to car shows. She enjoyed the people that she met at the various shows and spending time with them. She always was full of fun and ready for anything. She will be sadly missed by not only her family, but also her close friends including Ed Yeast, Craigy, and Bill and Bunny Buck. Judy was of the protestant faith.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her twin brother – Ronald Albert and a sister -Mary Irene. Survivors include two sisters – Kathy Smith and her husband, James formerly of South Carolina and Linda Ferrick and her husband – John of Cambridge Springs; two brothers – Kenny Ray Fullerton and Daniel James Fullerton, both of Georgia. Also surviving are beloved aunts and uncles, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews along with many friends.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o’clock am. With Reverend Rod Beardsley, pastor of Cambridge Springs First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Cambridge Springs Cemetery.
