Raymond F. Boyd, age 91, a lifelong resident of LeBoeuf Township, died Friday, October 22, 2010 at Edinboro Manor where he had resided for the past 8 months. Born in Mill Village on April 25, 1919, he was the son of the late David and Addie Smith Boyd.

Raymond was a dairy farmer for many years who later enjoyed raising corn and soybeans until his retirement. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Waterford, and active in the Mill Village and Waterford communities.

Preceding him in death were his sister, Charlotte Brown, and his brother, Vance Boyd.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Bertha Williams Boyd; two daughters, Nancy (Rod) Mitchell of Waterford and Carol (Keith) Troyer of Union City; five grandchildren- Brian Mitchell of Waterford, Rhonda (Chris) Napier of Cary, NC, Clay (Wen Ling) Troyer of Taiwan, Kyle (Lindsey) Troyer of Ruther Glen, VA, and Luke Troyer of Alexandria, VA; also, five great-grandchildren, Briana, Shelby, Ryan, Tyler, and Sonora; two brothers, Aden Boyd of Cleveland, OH and Clarence (Helen) Boyd of Waterford, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Funeral Home, 105 Walnut Street, Waterford, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will take place there on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with burial following at Waterford Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Edinboro Manor for their loving care they gave Raymond.
