Paul Leroy Kinnear, age 82, died at his home, 125 East First Alley, Waterford, PA on Sunday, October 3, 2010 after a period of declining health. Paul was born on April 11, 1928 in Titusville, PA, a son of the late Clarence Raymond Kinnear and Alice Faye Hyde Kinnear. He married Grace Leora Slater on Jan 6, 1951 and she preceded him in death on January 3, 1990.

Kinnear, Paul LeroyFrom 1980 until 1993, Paul worked as a bus mechanic for Ft. LeBoeuf School District. Prior to 1980 he owned and operated the Texaco Service Station in Waterford and previous to that he was a driver and mechanic for Seaway Coach Lines for 25 years. Presently, Paul owned and operated his own business – Paul Kinnear Trucking of Waterford. Paul was well known by his generosity and friendliness, always lending a hand when he saw the need.

Preceding Paul in death in addition to his wife was a son – Kenneth A. Kinnear who died in 1978; three sisters – Doris Perone, Margaret Kinnear, and Martha Kinnear; five brothers – Raymond, Gerald, Eugene, Walter, and Clarence Kinnear; and a step brother -Clifford Latchaw. Family surviving Paul include four sons – Bruce C. Kinnear and his wife, Andrea; Terry Kinnear and his wife, Darlene; and Dewey Kinnear and his wife, Kim all of Waterford; Ronald P. Kinnear and his wife, Karen of McKean; a daughter – Bonnie Kay Finney and her husband, Bill of Waterford; two sisters – Betty Heath of Gilbert, AZ and Martha Nason of Titusville; a brother – Robert Kinnear and his wife, Pat of Eugene, OR; and a niece – Marcie Nason, who made her home with Paul. In addition there are fourteen grandchildren – Melissa Andrzejczak and her husband, Jeff; Laurie Hall and her husband, Jim; Greg Kinnear and his wife, Melinda; Stephen Kinnear and his wife, Tina; Jeremy Kinnear and his wife, Valjean; William Finney and his wife, Megan; Season Chelton and her husband, Mike; Jeffry Kinnear; Jonathan Kinnear; Trisha Kinnear; Stacey Hoffman and her husband, Justin; James Kinnear, Cassandra Atkin and her husband, Jason; and Tiffany Kinnear. Also there are fifteen great grandchildren and one great granddaughter surviving.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Funeral Home in Waterford on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 and are invited to attend funeral services there on Wednesday at 11:00. Reverend Dennis Fetter, pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church in Waterford, will officiate. Interment will be in Waterford Cemetery.
