Patricia Francis Lindsey, age 76, resident of 7099 Crane Road, Edinboro, and formerly of Saegertown, passed away on January 23, 2011 at Edinboro Manor after a short illness. Born on August 8, 1934 in Phoenixville, PA she was a daughter of the late Cyrus James Miller and Hazel Unruh Miller. Her husband, Joel Lindsey, Sr. preceded her in death on November 19, 2008 after forty years of marriage.

Lindsey, Patricia FrancisShe was a nurse’s aide (CNA) at Edinboro Manor from 1992 until 1997 and formerly had been an aide at Pleasant Ridge Manor and Fairview Manor. She enjoyed crocheting, reading novels, poetry, and country music.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters – Dorothy MacArthur, Gerry Rupp, and Norma Himes.

Surviving family members include four children – Kim (Lesh) Ochman of Edinboro; Ronald E. Lesh and his wife, Holly Moffat of Cranesville; Patti (Lesh) Smith and her husband, Mark A. of Eighty Four, PA; and Joel Lindsey, Jr. of Erie. Also surviving are five grandchildren – Patrick Ochman, Tiffany Ochman, Jessa Ochman, Jason Lesh, and Joel Lindsey III. In addition, there are four great grandchildren; three brothers – James, Daniel, and Thomas Miller; and three sisters – Beatrice Wambold, Sandy Cowan and Lynn Himes, surviving.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Funeral Home at 306 Erie Street, Edinboro on Friday, Jan. 28th from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. and are invited to attend funeral services there beginning at 1:00. Reverend Thomas Shelow will officiate. Interment will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
