Helen Elizabeth Livermore, age 83, resident of Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown since August of last year, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 15, 2011. Born on July 21, 1927 in Meadville, PA, Helen was a daughter of the late Donald Prenatt, Sr. and Florence Ritenour Prenatt. She graduated from Townville High School in 1945 and married Milton Livermore, Jr. on November 17, 1947. Following their marriage, Helen worked for several years at General Electric in Erie before she and her husband began a dairy farm in rural Cambridge Springs. They operated the farm for over 30 years. After selling the farm they lived at several out-of-state locations before settling in St. Thomas, PA. While at St. Thomas she worked as a florist and in a landscaping nursery. After her husband’s death on February 18, 1993 she continued to reside at St. Thomas before moving to Meadville in 2007.

Livermore, Helen ElizabethHelen was affiliated with the North Richmond United Methodist Church. She enjoyed raising her family in a loving home where she enjoyed cooking and canning goods. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling together.

Family members surviving Helen include four children – Carolyn Eutzy of Meadville; Sandra Knapp and her husband, Bob of Meadville; M. Carl Livermore and his wife, Sharon of Little Cooley; and Cindy Brown and her fianc???e Ken Shomo of Meadville; ten grandchildren – Carlee Livermore Crosley, Cassandra Hosack, Aubree Livermore Shoemaker, Tamara Catlin, Miranda Slee, Megan Mattern Frey, Melissa Catlin, Daniel C. Livermore, Kathryn Eutzy, and Brittany Eutzy. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren and two brothers – Donald Prenatt, Jr and his wife, Clara of Meadville and Jerry Prenatt of Erie. Preceding Helen in death in addition to her parents and husband were three brothers – Jim, Doug, and David Prenatt.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 and are invited to attend funeral services there on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Mark Rusnak, Asera Care Chaplain will officiate. Interment will be in North Richmond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Asera Care Hospice, 1600 Peninsula Drive, Suite 14, Erie, PA 16505 or Crawford County Care Center, 20881 Highway #198, Saegertown, PA 16433.
