Vincent Clair Kwiatkowski, age 59, died unexpectedly at his home, 23266 Jericho Road, Edinboro, PA on Friday, June 10, 2011. Born on September 11, 1951 in Erie, PA., Vincent was a son of the late Edward Kwiatkowski and Helen Duncan Kwiatkowski. He lived all of his life in the Cambridge Springs and Edinboro areas. He married the former Karen Ann Crook on April 11, 1970 and she survives.
Following graduation from Cambridge Springs High School, Class of 1969, Vincent attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and received his degree in pharmacology in 1974. His first employment was with Hamot Medical Center in Erie from 1975 until 1985. He then was employed by the Edinboro CVS Store until 2007 after which he was employed by Rite Aid Drugs for one year. He was a member of McLane Church of Edinboro and enjoyed golf, spectator sports, and reading. His real affection was for his family and he enjoyed all the good times with them – laughing and joking.
In addition to his wife of 41 years, Karen, Vincent is survived by four daughters – Sara Lynn Toner of Union City; Alyssa Deets and her husband, Mark of Cambridge Springs; Carmen Anderson of Union City; and Jennifer Elizabeth Kwiatkowski, who remains at home; two sons – Jesse Vincent Kwiatkowski and his wife, Hailey of Edinboro; and E3 Andrew Kwiatkowski stationed with the US Navy in Seattle, WA; seven grandchildren – Kaysie Toner, Austin Kwiatkowski, Kody Toner, Jeremy Zimmerman, Nathan Zimmerman, Miranda Kwiatkowski, and Hayden Deets. Additional survivors include two brothers – Victor Kwiatkowski and his wife, Joyce of Edinboro and Vernon Kwiatkowski of Mount Pleasant, MI. Vincent was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather – William “Bunk” E. Mathews.
Private funeral services will be held at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs with Reverend Brian Kelly and Reverend Bill Cox, pastors of the McLane Church of Edinboro officiating. Interment will be in Trow Cemetery, Washington Township, Erie County.
