Cynthia J. Niebauer, age 91, resident of Venango, PA since 1948, died Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Meadville Medical Center, Grove Street, Meadville, PA. Born on July 27, 1920 in West Mead Township, Crawford County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Andrea Ackerman and Ella Muir Ackerman. On June 16, 1943, she married Lorentz V. Niebauer and he preceded her in death on April 27, 1991.
A home maker, Cynthia was a member of the Venango United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the Venango Volunteer Fireman Auxiliary.
Cynthia’s survivors include three sons – William Niebauer and his wife, Carol of Saegertown; Michael Niebauer of Phoenix, AR; and George Niebauer and his wife, Susan of Cambridge Springs; two daughters – Ann Steadman of Venango and Ellen Triola of Meadville. Also surviving are ten grandchildren – Jill Marie Allen, Darci Smith, Kathy Bradford, Paul Snyder, Rick Niebauer, Ryan Niebauer, Carrie Hood, Jason Triola, Justin Triola, and Megan Triola; ten great grandchildren – Seth Allen, Sarah Allen, Lilli Rodgers, Rachel Catalano, Amy Ridgeway, Nicholas Triola, Christopher Triola, Cody Bradford, Kelsi Bradford, and Kalee Bradford. A brother – Neil Ackerman of Phoenix, AZ also survives. Preceding Cynthia in death was a son – Richard Niebauer, a son-in-law – Harold Steadman; and seven brothers and one sister.
There are no visiting hours. Family members will be meeting for private viewing and a private funeral service with Reverend David Poulson, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Cambridge Springs officiating. Interment will be in Venango Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 448 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
Cynthia was such a wonderful person. I’m glad I got a chance to know her and take care of her. You have my deepest sympathies.
