Dayna Louise Fiske,, age 56, resident of 11482 Donation Road, Waterford, PA passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA after a period of failing health. She had resided in Waterford for the past 30 years. Born on June 7, 1955 in Erie, PA., Dayna was a daughter of the late James Husted and Wilma Jean Emler Husted. She married Jesse L. Fiske, Sr., on April 18, 1981 and he survives.

Dayna Louise FiskeDayna graduated from East High School in Erie with the Class of 1973. Following her marriage in 1981, she became a home maker. She was a gifted gold leaf artisan working together with her husband in the family business – Fiske & Sons Building Restoration and Preservation. From 1989 until 1998 she was employed by Ft. LeBoeuf School District as a lunch aide and from 1998 until 2009, Dayna was a hostess for the TGI Fridays restaurant in Erie. Dayna supported Ft. LeBoeuf athletics through her involvement with the Ft. LeBoeuf Boosters. She was a 4-H leader for 12 years and enjoyed sewing, especially needle pointing, and being out doors. Her outgoing personality allowed her to make many friends, touching each of their lives. She treasured her family and dearly loved being a grandmother.

Surviving Dayna, in addition to her husband, are four sons – Justin Ewing of Erie; Jesse Fiske Jr. and his wife, Angela of Erie; Joshua Fiske and his wife, Amanda of Mill Village; and Jacob Fiske and his wife, Jenny of Waterford. Also surviving are three grandchildren – Lakyn Cooney, Devin Shew, and Cameron Fiske; two sisters – Linda Coffman of Columbus, OH and Denise Hammill and her husband, Greg of Erie; and five brothers – James Husted; Carl Husted and his wife, Judy; Jeff Husted and his wife, Marian; Jon Husted and his wife, Angela; and Michael Husted, all of Erie. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles survive as well.

Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home, 105 Walnut Street, Waterford. Funeral services will be held at Draketown Christian Church, 12460 Draketown Road, Edinboro, PA on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Reverend Ron Kennedy, pastor of the Church, will officiate. Memorials gifts may be given to a Fiske Family Scholarship Fund to be established at Ft. LeBoeuf High School.
