Philip Ray Johnson, age 53, passed away at his residence, 27697 Miller Station Road, Cambridge Springs, PA on Sunday, September 11, 2011 following an extended illness. Born in Union City, PA on June 12, 1958, Philip was a son of Betty Henton Johnson and the late Carl Johnston.

Johnson, Philip RayPhilip was a long distance truck driver for most of his working life. He began driving at the age of 16 and over the years drove for many different trucking companies. His most recent employment was with Evans Trucking of Butler, IN and for Troyers of Waterford, PA. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Preceding Philip in death, in addition to his father – Carl A. Johnson, was a brother – Robert Johnson and a sister – Eva White McCleahan. Surviving Philip in addition to his mother – Betty Henton Johnson Docter include three sons – Jeremiah Johnson and his wife, AJ of Girard; Joseph Johnson of Erie; and Robert Johnson of Cambridge Springs; three daughters – Katharine Johnson of Lake City; and Lynn Johnson and Breania Johnson, both of Cambridge Springs. Also surviving are six grandchildren – Matthew, Adam, Andrew, and Devin Johnson all of Girard; and Hayler and Zakk Severance both of Lake City; three brothers – Kenneth Johnson, Richard Johnson, and Paul Jonson and four sisters -Choyce Patterson of Cochranton; Katherine Lutton of Erie; Jessica Grahan of Erie; and Jennifer Johnson of Cambridge Springs; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins also survive.

There will be no visitation hours and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
