Viola Greene Bradshaw, age 94, resident of State Highway #86, Meadville, PA left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on December 6, 2011. She was born in Butler, PA on April 28, 1917, the daughter of the late Ralph Greene and Mary Jane Johnson Greene. They moved to Cambridge Springs where she graduated from Cambridge Springs High School in 1935. In 1936, she married Lawrence H. Bradshaw and shared 60 years of marriage.

Bradshaw, Viola GreeneViola was an excellent homemaker who raised five children in her very small home. She took great pride in keeping her home tidy and she loved cooking and baking as well. Viola enjoyed embroidery and made beautiful quilts. She loved reading her Bible and Christian novels. She greatly enjoyed being a part of the Woodcock Township Ladies’ Group and participated in many 50 plus gatherings at Pleasantview Alliance Church. Viola was blessed with many Christian friends and appreciated every one of them.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two dear sons – Terry and Ralph, five brothers, two granddaughters, a grandson and a niece. Survivors include one son – Denny Bradshaw of Meadville; two daughters – Carole Lee Loughran of Wilmington, Delaware and her husband Gerald; and Darlene Burns and husband, Michael of Saegertown. Additional survivors include 14 grand children and 26 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to call at Van Matre Family Funeral Home, 335 Venango Avenue, Cambridge Springs on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00. Funeral services will be held at Pleasantview Alliance Church, 16233 State Highway 86, Saegertown on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Russell Huizing, pastor of the Church, officiating. There will be a visitation time beginning at 10:00, one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be private for the family at Cambridge Springs Cemetery.
