Christian Victor Veates, age 59 of Waterford, died Monday, December 5, 2011 at Millcreek Community Hospital. Born in Union City on September 12, 1952, he was the son of the late Christian R. and Louise Ormsbee Veates.
Christian loved life and was a gifted artist and talented harmonica player. He previously worked at Gannon University and was the inventor of the Alert Modular.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas Anthony Patterson.
Family members that survive include his sister, Ella Miller and her husband Ed of Waterford; his soul mate, Vivian Baker Rindfuss, of Waterford; three children, Samantha Jean Baker and Melissa Lynn Veates, both of Waterford, and Christian Lee Veates of Cambridge Springs; three step-children, Krystal Thompson and Jason Thompson, both of Cambridge Springs, and Kyle Litz of Waterford; and three grandchildren, Dustin Patterson, Michaela Marie Morton, and Jaszmin Bukowski.
