Ralph L. Terrill, age 78, long time resident of Edinboro, PA, passed away on Thursday, March, 1, 2012 at Cambridge Springs Rehab and Nursing Center after a four month illness. Born In Pageville, PA on November 28, 1933, Ralph was a son of the late Plira and Emma Terrill. He married the former Julia F. Peters and she survives.

Terrill, Ralph L.From 1956 until 1965, Ralph served his country in the US Army. Following his military service, Ralph returned home to work for General Electric in Erie, Erie City Iron (now Zurn) for nine years, for Penn Union in Edinboro, and for Russell Stanford Corporation as an asphalt equipment operator. He retired from there in 1999 after 33 years of employment.

Ralph was a volunteer fireman for Edinboro Fire Department and belonged to Chief Company No #29 of the State Police for Erie and Crawford County for 9 years. Among his varied interests, Ralph enjoyed being in the out doors, hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed artistic drawing and building projects.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law – Joyce and Kenneth Matson. His survivors include his wife and companion of 43 years – Julia; two sons – Randy Terrill and his wife, Frances of Cranesville; and Timothy Terrill and his fianc???e, Heather of Venango; a daughter – Lisa Tomasik and her husband, Henry of McKean. Also surviving are eight step children – David Peters and his wife, Alice of Saegertown; Julie Moses and her husband, Alan of Cambridge Springs; Wilma Allen and her husband, Willard of Union City; Audrey Cochran and her husband, Ron of Meadville; Russell Peters and his wife, Brenda of Cambridge Springs; Steven Peters and his wife, Sue of Corry; Rick Peters and his wife, Tammi of Cambridge Springs; and Jenny Bean and her husband, Brian of Meadville. Survivors also include a foster son – Ted Lewis and his wife, Beverly of Oregon; two brothers – Leonard Terrill and his wife, Roberta of Edinboro and Harlan Terrill and his wife, Shirley of Erie; 23 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home, 306 Erie Street, Edinboro on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 9:00. Funeral services will be held there Monday morning at 11:00 with Pastor David Bousquet officiating. Interment will be held in Venango Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be given to the Family in care of the Funeral Home.
