Julia Rose Metzler, age 93, of Waterford, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at her home. Born in Rock Creek, OH on December 14, 1918, she was the daughter of the late George and Julia Baumgartner Dworshak.
Julia was a wife, mother, grandmother, and a great-grandmother. She worked in the ceramic business for many years. She and her husband founded LeBoeuf Corporation which was a ceramic wholesale business.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents; two of her sisters, Ann Foster and Beatrice Schreck; two of her brothers, Frank and George; her sisters-in-law, Betty Dworshak and Marie Dworshak; her brothers-in-law, Harold Wood, Ralph Schreck, and LeRoy Bennett; and her niece, Melody Dworshak Benson.
Survivors include her husband, Emery M. Metzler of Waterford; her sons– Emery G. Metzler (Pearl), Norman M. Metzler (Janette), Mark H. Metzler (Sandra), and Jeffrey A. Metzler (Tina), all of Waterford; her grandchildren– David Metzler (Jacque) of Ohio, Joanne Metzler Head (Thomas) of Pittsburgh, Andrew Metzler, Julia M. Metzler LeVan (Steven) of Akron, OH, Norman M. Metzler II (Shannon) of Waterford, Joshua C. Metzler of Waterford, Rachel Metzler, Nathaniel Metzler, Jessica M. Metzler, and Anna M. Metzler of Waterford. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Wood, Saegertown; her brother, Mark Dworshak of Guys Mills; and her sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Bennett of Ohio; also, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery, Meadville.
