Florence Christine Kibbee, age 90, resident of Cambridge Springs, returned to the Lord on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Erie on March 14, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Krolak and Augusta Nagorski Grzegorzewski Krolak. She married Robert Marlin Kibbee, Sr. on October 30, 1941 and they shared 45 years of marriage. They enjoyed traveling, camping, and family.

Kibbee, Florence ChristineFlorence was a member of the Carmel Baptist Church and later the Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Flo was a certified practical nurse and spent her life in service to others, caring for the sick and elderly right up to her final days. She worked in various nursing homes and also provided private care in homes. She was a devoted nurse with an amazing gift of helping others and had an uncanny ability to know their exact needs. Flo was known to give above and beyond whatever it would take to provide care and comfort to all of her patients. If she could not provide it herself, she knew how to obtain it, and was not satisfied until her patients were as well cared for as possible.

She is preceded in death by her husband; sons – Philip and Kenwyn and several brothers, sisters, and close friends. She is survived by her son – Robert and his wife, Beverly of Edinboro; four grandchildren – Ken Kibbee, Mike Kibbee, Chyriese Reyes, Amy Berger; and nine great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends whose lives she touched with care and love.

Graveside services will be held at the Carmel Feeman Cemetery located on Mosiertown Road on Friday, August 24th at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Reverend Ron Sheldon, pastor of the Cornerstone Baptist Church. A celebration of her life will follow at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Crossingville.
