Albert E. Tucci, age 77, passed away at his home, 21697 South Trolley Drive, Venango, PA on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 following a lengthy illness. Most of his life, Albert lived in the Venango area, but for the last 12 years, he had lived in Florida. Born on January 10, 1935, in Crossingville, Crawford County, Albert was a son of the late Joseph Tucci and Josephine Bernosky Tucci.
Albert was a veteran serving with the US Air Force. For over 36 years, Albert was a long distance truck driver and in those years was accident free for over four million miles. Albert, in his time off from driving, enjoyed the game of golf.
Surviving Albert are four children – Steven Tucci and his wife, Kathleen of Atmore, AL; Beth Tucci-Butler and her family of Pittsburgh; Susan Medina and her husband, Fernando from Dallas, TX; and Michael Tucci and his wife, Kimberly from Venango; five siblings – Dorothy Ferry of Saegertown; Joseph Richard Tucci and his wife, Peggy of Venango; Frances Tapper and her husband, Paul of Cambridge Springs; Teresa Shoemaker of Greensboro, N.C.; and Caroline Brown and her husband, Roger of Saegertown. There are also several grandchildren, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews surviving.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. No other funeral services are being planned. Interment will be in Venango Cemetery, Venango, PA.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to a charity of one’s choice.
It has been a long month. I miss you so much.

All thou I never met any of you, I have known Al for about 30 years. I drove truck for Schneider also. We use to kid each other a lot. I know he was very generous and a good friend. Please accept my condolences.

Sorry to hear of the loss of Albert. He was a great man. We alwasy enjoyed talking to him. He will be truley missed. Yet again this year heven has gained another angel.
