Frank Stanley Duda, age 88, formerly a lifelong resident of Greytown Hill Road, Cambridge Springs, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Wesbury United Methodist Community, Meadville, PA. Born on November 5, 1923 in Richmond Township, Crawford County, Frank was a son of the late Joseph Duda and Anna Burda Duda. He married the former Catherine Ann Bury on June 6, 1953 and she survives and is presently a resident of the Wesbury Methodist Community in Meadville.

Frank spent his working years beginning with Westinghouse of Meadville and continuing with several succeeding companies. He retired in 1989 from Seco-Warwick in Meadville as a fabrication foreman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who enjoyed being outdoors, chopping wood, and working in the garden. He liked to play golf and in his earlier years hunted and fished. He was a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Cambridge Springs.

Surviving members of Frank’s family in addition to his wife, Catherine, include two daughters – Mary Menanno and her husband, Ron of Guys Mills and Susan Hughes and her husband, Tim of Gibsonia, PA; five sons – Frank J. Duda and his wife, Patti of Meadville; John Duda and his wife, Cathy of Moorehead City, NC; Steve Duda and his wife, Tami of Calhoun, GA; James Duda and his wife, Elaine of Meadville; and David Duda and his wife, Sandra of Newport News, VA. Included among survivors are nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a brother – Walter Duda of Greenville, PA and several nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death in addition to his parents by three sisters – Julia Bowler, Josephine Baker, and Ann Hamilton and five brothers – Anthony, John, Edward, Alfred, and Joseph Duda.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. where a Vigil Prayer Service will be held at 6:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Cambridge Springs on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. Reverend David Poulson, pastor of the Church will officiate. Interment will be in St. Agatha Cemetery, Meadville.
