Amos R. Petersheim, 75, of Townville, PA, (formerly of Bethel, PA), went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 01, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of Fannie (Stoltzfus) Petersheim, with whom he celebrated nearly 50 years of marriage. He was born at Ronks, Pa and was the son of the late Benjamin and Rachel Petersheim. He was a member of the Royers Mennonite Church at Myerstown, Pa.
Surviving besides his wife are seven children – Stephen and his wife, Missy of Myerstown, PA; Matthew and his wife, Cynthia of Townville, PA; John of Lebanon, PA; Timothy and his wife, Gwen of Lancaster, PA; Lois and her husband, Michael of Knox City, MO; Eunice of Pensacola, FL; and Dorcas of Knox City, MO; eight grandsons – Nelson, Lyndon, and Alan Petersheim of Townville, PA; Larry and Ryan Stoltzfus of Knox City, MO; and Toby of Myerstown, PA; eleven granddaughters – Chelsea of Palmyra, PA; Tiffany of Myerstown, PA; Audrey, Janelle, Emily, Janetta, and Kendra of Townville, PA; and Lucy, Cheryl, Alice, and Lisa of Knox City, MO; three brothers – Jonas and his wife, Anne of New Holland, PA; Gideon and his wife, Fannie of Honey Brook, PA; Issac and his wife, Huldah of East Earl, PA; and one sister – Anna of East Earl, PA.
Funeral services will take place at the French Creek Menn. Church, St. Hwy. 408 east of Cambridge Springs, PA, on Tuesday, September 4, at 9:30 a.m. There will be a viewing on Monday at the church from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Please omit flowers.
