Ann Bryan Hansen, age 91, of Waterford, died Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Edinboro Manor where she had resided for the past three months. Born in New Castle, PA on September 21, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Ketchel Bryan.
Ann attended schools in Corsica, PA and Bessemer, PA, graduating from high school in Bessemer. During World War II, she worked at Goodyear Aircraft in Akron, OH, and later she worked for Sylvania Electronics in Brookville, PA. Ann was primarily a homemaker, and after raising her family, she was employed by Sears in Erie for about six years before retiring.
Ann was an avid quilt maker, an accomplished cook, and she enjoyed gardening. She was a longtime member of the Perkin – Good Hope Presbyterian Church, and she was a friend to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Ann is survived by her loving husband, Robert E. Hansen, whom she married August 31, 1945; two sons– Thomas Hansen and his wife Teresa of Waterford, and James Hansen and his wife April of Salisbury, MD; and a granddaughter, Jamie Hansen.
There will be no funeral services. Interment will take place in Corsica, PA.
