Helen Marie (Poochie) Hetrick, age 85, resident of 257 South Main Street, Cambridge Springs, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at her residence. Born on May 12, 1927 in Corry, PA, Helen was a daughter of the late Clement L. Miller and Ida Rieck Miller. On November 2, 1942 she married Edward Hetrick and he died on May 3, 2004.

Hetrick, Helen Marie (Poochie)Helen worked approximately 10 years at Marx Toy Company in Erie until 1968. She was a housekeeper for a number of Cambridge Springs area families and cleaned and kept the medical office for Drs. Owens and Veronesi in Cambridge Springs for a number of years. A member of the Washington Valley Christian Church, she enjoyed solving puzzles, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed the company of her friends at the Bartlett Gardens in Cambridge Springs.

She is survived by a daughter, Edwina Reagles and her husband, Steve of Cambridge Springs, a granddaughter, Stephanie Reagles, and a grandson, Jason Reagles. She is also survived by a sister – Marian Loomis of Jamestown, NY and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Helen in death were five sisters -Eleanor Andrews, Joyce Spencer, Lucille Vanguilder, Lois Winkelbauer, and Donna Yucha; and three brothers – Frank Miller, Clement Miller, Jr., and Sonny Miller.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home, 306 Erie Street, Edinboro on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 and are invited to attend funeral services there on Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Duane Pinney, pastor of Washington Valley Christian Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
