Eleanor M. Foster, age 85, resident of LeBoeuf Township, Waterford, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 at UPMC Hamot. She came into this world December 2, 1927 along with her twin brother, John Ekey of Kansas, who survives. She was the daughter of the late Samuel H. and Della M. Roth Ekey, and sister to the late Samuel and Matthew Ekey. She joins her husband, Frank R. Foster, and her ex-husband, C. Marshall Foster, who are both deceased.
Besides her twin brother, she is survived by her daughter Karen (Foster) Glover; two grandsons, Christopher Glover (who lived with Eleanor) and Joshua Glover of New Kensington, PA; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn (Kat) Glover and her partner Ryan Rice of Canton, OH; and her great-grandson (and light of her life), Andrew Glover. She is also survived by two very dear and long time friends, Sandra Russ and Lucette Lyle, as well as nieces and nephews and their children.
Eleanor enjoyed gardening and sewing, and loved her pet dogs and cats. For 18 years, she was employed as the head cashier at Loblaws in Erie.
Eleanor’s wish was to be cremated with only a private service for her family. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or any animal rescue organization.
