Lisa Dee-Ann Hinterberger-Edinger, age 31 of Waterford, died Friday, March 29, 2013. Born on December 26, 1981 in Erie, she is the daughter of Dale E. and Beverly C. Newman Hinterberger of Waterford.
When Lisa was a student at Fort LeBoeuf High School, she began volunteering with Stancliff Hose Company in Waterford which resulted in her interest in emergency medical services. She was trained as an Emergency Medical Technician and was grateful for the help and training received from a close friend, Harry Latta. For the next several years, Lisa was employed by Emergycare as an EMT and then later as a dispatcher.
Lisa’s family remember her as the “pajama girl”, and how she loved to be around people and make them laugh even when they had nothing to laugh about. Lisa loved her two children very much and was happy to be their Mom.
Family members include her husband, Jackie E. Edinger Jr. of Erie; her children, Kaileb and Madisen Hinterberger; her parents, Dale and Beverly Hinterberger; four step-children, Anjelica, Jackie, Zacharhia, and David Edinger; two brothers, Charles T. Hinterberger and wife Carrie of Ford City, PA, and Paul W. Hinterberger and wife Marie of Waterford; several nieces and nephews; and her sister and best friend, Rabecca J. Spencer of Waterford.
Visiting hours will be at the Van Matre Funeral Home, 105 Walnut Street, Waterford, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be there Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Jim Galvin of the First Baptist Church of Waterford. Interment will be in Waterford Cemetery.

Lisa I will miss you ever so much! I will remember all the good moments. Playing hide and seek at your house. Throwing crab apples at each other. Having sleep overs at your moms house. Picking on the neighborhood boys. Eating chunk cheese until you threw up all over my room lol. I could go on and on. You are one of the few people that gave me good memories of my childhood and for that I love you and cry for you. Please take care of my sister and all of our other family members. Save me a spot in heaven 🙂 I love you!
Please accept my sincere sympathy on the recent loss of your dear loved one. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May the God of comfort be with you in this time of sorrow. May these words bring you hope, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4) This promise will be fulfilled one day, until then, may all your memories sustain you in the days to come
