Pearl Irene Kimmy, age 83, resident of 521 Beach Avenue, Cambridge Springs, PA was called home by her loving Savior on Friday, July 12, 2013. She passed away at home with her loving children and grandchildren by her side.

Kimmy, Pearl Irene Born on January 23, 1930 in Clarence Center, New York, Pearl was a daughter of the late Forrest Brown and Helen Knapp Brown. She lived in Cambridge Springs, PA for the past 50 years. Pearl was a busy home maker raising eight children. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, baking, and reading, but above all she loved reading her Bible, praying, and writing inspirational letters to family and friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Pearl was a member of the Brown Hill United Methodist Church since 1969. During this time she directed Daily Vacation Bible School, served as a Sunday School teacher, led Ladies Aide, and was president of the United Methodist Women.

She will be missed by her children and their spouses which include – Allison Lydic and her husband, Ladell of Waterford; Forrest Kimmy and his wife, Rhonda of Cambridge Springs; Kara Rollin and her husband, Dwayne of Cambridge Springs; Kyle Jones and her husband, Patrick of Waterford; Brownyn Kimmy of Cambridge Springs; and Barbra Bonino and her husband, Joseph of Pittsburgh; sixteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Denzil Kimmy, of fifty years, who died on May 18, 1996. Also preceding her in death were two beloved sons – Larry Kimmy and Gary Kimmy; a brother – Donald Brown; and two sisters – Rose Cummings and Millicent Parker.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 and are invited to attend funeral services there on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Brian Riddle will officiate. Interment will be in Millers Station Cemetery.
