Elwood R. Reagle, age 59, passed way peaceably at his home, 147 Kearney Avenue, Cambridge Springs, PA on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. His wife, the former Linda Harmon, survives him. Elwood was the son of the late Homer and Eddna Unger Reagle.
A graduate of Saegertown High School in the Class of 1971, Elwood was an employee of Cambridge Springs Borough working on the Streets Department for 23 years retiring in 2010. He was a member of VFW Post 169 of Venango and American Legion Post #381 of Cambridge Springs. His hobbies included fishing, boating, and camping. He was well known as a great story teller.
Surviving Elwood in addition to his wife, Linda whom he married on February 25, 2005 are 11 step children – Willie Boozer and his wife, Andrea of Cambridge Springs; Louis Aurther of Cambridge Springs; Paula Humes and her husband, Gary of Cambridge Springs; Cindy Mullahan of Delaware; L.J. Lydic and his wife, Brandy of Cambridge Springs; Joe Bleade and his wife, Linda of Corry; Nate Blaede and his wife, Jean of Saegertown; Ted Smith and his wife, Amy of Conneautville; Sue Blair and her husband, Paul of Townville; Katrina Blaede of Columbus, OH; and Mark Blaede of Oil City; and 24 step grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters – Carol Turij and her husband, Bob of Linesville and Linda Campbell of Meadville; and one brother – Richard Reagle and his wife, Linda of Meadville. Included also is his cherished dog “Patches” who was always at his side.
Preceded in death in addition to his parents were two daughters – Pat Blaede and Prudey Smith; two sisters – Donna Zellem and Beth Lipps; and a brother – Albert Reagle.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Saturday for an hour of visitation beginning at 1:00 and to funeral services there beginning at 2:00. Interment will be in Cambridge Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.

I am sorry for your loss. I didn’t know Elwood, but I do remember my dad, Edgar Harry talking about him as well as my my family talking about Uncle Homer and Aunt Rachel. My prayers are with you all.
