Betty Lee Weidner, age 76, passed away at her home, 21445 Grange Center Road, Saegertown, PA on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Born in Meadville, PA on January 25, 1937, Betty was a daughter of the late Mary Louise Schnars. Betty lived most of her adult life in Cussewago Township. On June 22, 1957 she married Richard John Weidner and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2010.
Betty received her education from Meadville High School and was employed in later years by Penncrest School District retiring in1999. She was fondly known as the copy lady who passed out panther points. She loved spending time with her family and received great pleasure reading a good book and watching birds.
Surviving Betty are two sons – Richard Lee Weidner and his wife, Angela of Hillsborough, NJ; Ronald John Weidner and his wife, Pamela of Conneautville; a daughter – Christine Shaw of Saegertown; eight grandchildren – Christopher Weidner, Andrew Weidner; Jennifer Weidner and her fianc???, Christopher; Jonathan Weidner; Joseph Walker and his wife, Chelsey; Jessica Ashbaugh and her husband, Scott; Rachael Shaw; and Sarah Shaw; two great grandchildren – Aliza Ashbaugh and Scott Ashbaugh,Jr. Also surviving is a sister -Louise of Canada and a brother-in-law – Daniel Weidner.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. Private burial will be held the next day at St. James Cemetery, Crossingville.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Betty was a special person. I always liked her and her sense of humor. She raised a great family and was full of love for them. God bless her and the family.
