Anna O. McCall, age 85, resident of Old Rt. 19, Waterford, died Saturday evening, September 7th, 2013 at UPMC Hamot from injuries sustained in a fall in her home. Anna was born March 24, 1928 in Beaver Crossing, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Valentin and Gertrude Ostermann.

McCall, Anna O.She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace in 1987 and by an infant son. She is survived by her son James and his wife Beverly, one grandson Kenneth McCall, and a brother Valentin Ostermann and his wife Jean, all residents of Waterford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Anna was a graduate of Waterford Joint High School. She was a long time devoted ????ife Member???? of the Stancliff Hose Auxiliary and past president, and she was also a long time member of the Fort LeBoeuf Historical Society and past president. Anna served as Justice of the Peace and District Justice from 1966-1981, and she and her husband Wally operated McCall?????s Garage for many years. She served as president and vice president of the Waterford Development Corporation, she provided accounting, notary and tax services for many years, and she served several terms as Auditor for Waterford Township.

Anna was a great Mom, Mother-in-law & Grandma. Though she will be greatly missed by family and friends, she truly did live a full life which touched many people over the years. In addition to her community service activities, she enjoyed gardening and was also a member of a Waterford card club that has met regularly for over 50 years.

Visiting hours will be held at the Van Matre Funeral Home in Waterford, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held there Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. James Salmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Waterford Cemetery.
