Juliet Colleen Nuss Maisner of Waterford passed away peacefully on Monday October 28, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Erie on July 19, 1957.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 33 years, Timothy Maisner, daughter Amy Maisner, two granddaughters, Maiah Mae and Mattie Marie, best friend Jackson, brother Jason Nuss and his wife Gloria of Virginia, sisters Jan Vella and husband Richard of Cambridge Springs and Jill Balo and husband Greg of Florida, brother-in-law Michael Maisner and his wife Marcia of Erie, sister-in-law Tina Maisner of Waterford, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Matthew Maisner, her parents, Denzil and Norma Jane Graham Nuss, brother-in-law Arthur Maisner, sister-in-law Estelle Minnis and mother-in-law Iona Laskowski Maisner.
Juliet attended Tech Memorial High School and later married her soul mate Timothy in 1979. Juliet retired from Smiths Provision after 15 years of service. She adored all time spent with her husband, daughter and two beautiful granddaughters. She also enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, trips to Cleveland to see the Browns and Indians play ball, rock concerts, and the occasional trips to the casinos. She was a member of the American Legion Post 285 and Siebenbuerger Club.
Juliet made many donations and contributions to St. Jude?????s Children?????s Hospital, Breast Cancer Awareness, Stancliff Hose Co, State Police and the Erie City Mission. Juliet and her family would like to extend special thanks to Jenna & Katie from Great Lakes Home Healthcare and Staff.
As per Juliet?????s wishes, no calling hours will be observed. A memorial mass will be held at All Saints Parrish, 11264 Route 97 in Waterford on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Thomas Whitman officiating.
