Carl Andrew Blystone, age 70, died at his residence, 219 1/2 Allegheny Street, Meadville, PA on Wednesday, November 20, 2013. Born on September 26, 2013 in Meadville, PA, Carl was a son of the late Lewis David Blystone, Sr. and Margaret Lucille Cummings Blystone. He resided in Meadville for the past seven years.

Following his high school education, Carl enlisted in the US Marine Corp serving his nation during the Vietnam War. For more than 30 years, Carl was a heavy equipment operator working out of Operating Engineers Local # 66 of Pittsburgh laying asphalt pavement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and photography. He belonged to the Cambridge Rod and Gun Club, the Venango VFW Post #169, the Cambridge Springs American Legion Post #381, and the National Rifleman’s Association.

Surviving Carl are three sisters – Thelma June Ellis of Monroe, Utah; Mary Lucille Tenny and her husband, John of Meadville; and Judy Ann Boyles of Meadville; two brothers – Lewis D. Blystone, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Cambridge Springs; and Elmer Leroy Blystone of Meadville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews including Duane Blystone, Ricky Speck, and Randy Speck. Preceding Carl in death were two sisters – Shirley Ann Blystone and Anna Mae Speck; a nephew Bobby Speck, and a brother-in-law – Bill Boyles.
