Clyde (Edward) Peace, age 62, resident of 26508 Lake Drive, Mitchell Lake, Cambridge Springs, PA was pronounced deceased at Meadville Medical Center emergency room following a sudden illness on Sunday evening, December 15, 2013. Born in Punxsutawney, PA on February 6, 1951, Edward was a son of the late Clyde B. Bowser and Charlotte Adams Peace. He married the former Diane McCrakin on July 22, 1986 and she survives.

Peace, Clyde (Edward)After graduating from high school, Edward entered the US Armed Forces with the US Marine Corp serving his country during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged, Edward drove long distance truck transportation for a number of years and then became a licensed electrician. Working in this trade for a number of years in Virginia, he was seriously injured during a construction project and was unable to continue working, retiring on disability. He and his wife moved to Cambridge Springs eleven years ago. During these years, he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and particularly biking. He was known to be a jack of all trades, helping friends which he made very easily. He was a good marine and was a very likeable fellow known as “Unc” to so many.

Surviving Edward, in addition to his wife, Diane, is a daughter – Angela Lynn Peace White and her husband, Stephen Thomas White I who live in Huntington, West Virginia; five grandchildren – Briar James White, Elliot White, Briana Emmalyn Peace, Stevann Tori White, Stephen Thomas White II; a stepson – Ron McCraken; a stepdaughter – Angela Zdaa; and a sister – Emmaline Mae Spencer of Erie.

At this time no visitation or funeral service is being planned. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
