Keith A. Charlton, age 59, of Summit Township, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Saint Vincent Health Center. Born June 3, 1954 in Erie, he was one of six children of the late Ezekiel A. and Melva J. Lindenpitz Charlton.

Charlton, Keith A.Keith was active with the Fort LeBoeuf Bison Wrestling Club attending matches, tournaments, and practices, and was known to coach from the sidelines. He always showed interest in the kids and was known as “Coach Chicken Wing”. Keith had a great sense of humor and he adored his nieces, nephews and great-nephews. He loved to follow them in their activities.

Keith was a former employee of General Electric and an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Oakland Raiders.

Family members include three brothers and two sisters– Dane Charlton (Jill) of Erie, Gregory Charlton (Becky) of Sitka, AK, Rick Charlton (Mary) of Cambridge Springs, Cynthia Charlton of Polk, PA, and Beverly Charlton of Erie; his nieces and nephews– Kyle and Dane Jr., Adam and Seth, Rick and Joe, and Alyssa; his great-nephews– Tyler, Toby, Lance, Brayden, Aiden, and Liam; and his close friend, Melanie.

Visiting hours will be at the Van Matre Funeral Home, 105 Walnut Street, Waterford on Friday, January 24th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and will continue Saturday at 1:00 until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Keith McGarvey of South Harborcreek United Methodist Church.

Memorials are suggested to be given to the Bison Wrestling Club, 2147 Hare Road, Waterford, PA 16441.
