Thomas E. Ryan, age 68, passed away at his home, 10065 Old Albion Road, Albion on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 after an extended illness with his loving family at his side. Born on June 4, 1945 in Girard, PA, Thomas was a son of the Late Olin Ryan and Pauline Frank Ryan. He married the former Marjorie A. Foy on June 5, 1965.

Ryan, Thomas E. A graduate of Girard Union High School in 1964, Thomas went on to work as a shipper-receiver for 32 years for Beaver Paint located in Girard. Retiring in 1995, he had missed only two days of work in his entire career. Thomas enjoyed model railroading, needle point, bird watching, and music. He was a NASCAR fan following Tony Stewart. He attended McLane Church in Edinboro where he served as Saturday night head usher. His family readily attests that Thomas was a great and loving husband, father, grandpa, and papa.

Thomas is survived by four daughters – Maria Ann Kelley and her husband, Clyde and Pamela Sue Ryan, both of Albion; Cynthia Mae Perkowski and her husband, David of Waynsboro, PA; and Melissa Lee Wiley and her husband, Gordon of Albion. Also surviving are two grandchildren – Evan Anthony Perkowski and Ashley Nicole Kelley; a brother – Robert Leroy Ryan of Girard; and a sister – Carol Silis of Conneaut, OH.

Friends and family will be received at the McLane Church in Edinboro on Thursday, January 9th from 10:00 am until the hour of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Roger Scarlett of McLane Church will officiate. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Cranesville.
