Guy Edward Cornwell, age 53, resident of Edinboro, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at UPMC Hamot. Born in Erie on August 6, 1960, he was a son of the late Lester and Jean Marie Kaiser Cornwell.

Guy was known to be generous with any time or resource he had to anyone in need. Whether helping an injured farmer getting his crops in, or stopping to assist a broken down motorist in the pouring rain, Guy loved being a part of the solution. He suffered much since his bike wreck and it robbed him of capabilities, but not his mighty spirit. Guy had worked many years at the Hite Company and he attended McLane Church.

Guy was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Lee McGahen Cornwell, who died September 11, 2013, and a niece, Megan Watson.

Survivors include his son, Lester Cornwell, whom he loved very much; two brothers, George Cornwell and wife Ann of Mill Village, and William Cornwell and wife Cheryl of Waterford; a sister, Brenda Miller and husband Chuck of Peoria, AZ; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Burial will be in Mill Village Cemetery.

The Cornwell family will receive friends at the Mill Village Fire Hall on Sunday, March 23rd, starting at 1:00 p.m.
