Brian Keith Hamilton, age 56, resident of Little Cooley, Crawford County, PA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Meadville Medical Center, Meadville, PA. Born in Meadville, PA on February 11, 1958, Brian is a son of Keith Hamilton and Jean Holcomb Hamilton, both surviving. On August 9, 1997, Brian married the former Cheryl Hamilton.
Brian graduated from Maplewood High School in the Class of 1977 after which he worked for PA DOT for several years before owning and operating ‘Happy Jax’. He then owned and operated BJ’s Lakeland Inn for over 13 years. In 2001, Brian opened and successfully ran Brian’s Country Market in Little Cooley. Concurrently, Brian was a member of Labor Union Local #603 of Erie and Carpenters Local Union #95 of Mentor, Ohio. He presently was working for FMS Construction of Sharpsburg, PA.
Surviving Brian in addition to his wife, Cheryl, is his father – Keith Hamilton of Centerville and his mother – Jean Hamilton also of Centerville; two sons – Andrew Hamilton and his wife, Jessica of Guys Mills and Adam Hamilton of Cambridge Springs; a stepson – Justin Dreese and his wife, Maria of Townville and a step daughter – Shelly Dreese of Harrisburg, PA; two grandchildren – Bradley Hamilton and Brooke Hamilton. Also surviving is a brother – Troy Hamilton and two sisters – Robin Graff and her husband, Tom of Centerville and Sheila Bancroft and her husband, Rory of Centerville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant son – Zachary Brian Hamilton.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Monday, May 19th from 2-4 and 7-9. A private funeral service will then be held at the convenience of the family.
