Eileen Ledrick, age 83, long time resident of Cambridge Springs, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 after a brief illness. Born on May 1, 1931 in Swissvale, PA, Eileen was a daughter of the late Joseph Byrnes and Anna Mae Ridge Byrnes. She married Edward Ledrick on October 3, 1959 and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2008.
After graduating from Swissvale High School in the Class of 1949, Eileen was employed for ten years by the Union Switch and Signal Company in Swissvale. After her marriage she became a homemaker and was active with her church, Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Cambridge Springs, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid Society and sang in the choir for more than 30 years. Eileen was a member and past president of the Gam-Sac-Mah ladies social club in Cambridge Springs and was involved with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in Cambridge Springs.
Surviving Eileen is a daughter – Debra Malory and her husband, Michael of North East, PA; two sons – Joseph Ledrick of Carnegie, PA and Donald Ledrick and his wife, Desiree of Meadville; a granddaughter – Maggie Ledrick and a grandson – Zachary Allen. Eileen was preceded in death in addition to her husband, Edward, by a sister -Anna Mae Byrnes who died on March 10, 2014 and a daughter-in-law – Maura Ledrick in died in March of 2012.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Cambridge Springs Monday morning at 10:00. Reverend David Poulson, pastor of the Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Cambridge Cemetery.
