Dorothy Josephine Finck, age 74, died unexpectedly of natural causes at her home, 26481 Lake Drive, Cambridge Springs, PA on Saturday, September 13, 2014. Born on February 3, 1940, in Pittsburgh, PA, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Joseph A. Kaczorowski and Dorothy Hanczyk Kaczorowski.
A native of Pittsburgh, Dorothy graduated from South Hills High School. Residing at Mitchell Lake, Cambridge Springs since 1964, Dorothy worked for the MFG Boat Company in Union City for about 15 years and then for OGM Company in Edinboro as a quality control inspector, retiring in 2005. She enjoyed flower gardening and had a special pet dog, “Patton”, who meant so much to her. She loved holidays, especially Christmas, and elaborately decorated her small home for the occasion.
Dorothy is survived by her brother, Dean Kaczorowski, who lives outside of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews including Denise Bonecutter and her husband, Frend of Guys Mills, and Teresa Dunleavy and her fianc?, Mike Matelski of Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by a brother – Robert Kaczorowski who died in 1963.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs. No funeral service is scheduled.
